Beginning in 1951, I worked with Eugene Delcroix, a N.O. photographer who was a master of light and composition, and who specialized in soft focus images. In 1971, I studied with Ansel Adams in California at one of the last courses the artist himself taught. I have also been a pupil of Michael A. Smith of Ottsville, Pennsylvania-a master of large format photography-who in 1986 photographed New Orleans for the Historic collection. In 1999 I participated in a Santa Fe workshop on digital photography.</p> <p>Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.</p>
